What Is Seadrill's Real Exposure To Petrobras' New 5 Year Spending Cut?
Brazilian state-run oil company Petróleo Brasileiro SA said Monday it plans to slash investments by 41% over the next five years.
In addition to lower capital expenditures, Petrobras ramped up plans to sell assets. The company now expects to divest $15.1 billion in 2015-16.
Petrobras reduced its outlook for the price of Brent crude oil to $60/b in 2015 and $70/b for 2016-2019. Last year PBR was projecting $95/b.
SDRL has six rigs contracted by PBR which represents $1.7 billion in revenue backlog.
