Pequeños hechos desde EEUU que demuestran que lo impensado se puede dar .

A judge approved a plan for the city of Vallejo on Thursday, allowing them to emerge from a three-year bankruptcy.
When I asked if crime has risen as a result of the public safety cuts, Batchelor didn't say, only pointing out that the number of Neighborhood Watch groups has skyrocketed to 221. Residents "have had to take control of their own destiny."
In some cases, bondholders will only end up with about half of what they were originally owed. In other cases, the principal will be paid but the interest will be lowered and deferred.
Retirees and city workers who sought reimbursement for reduced pay and benefits will get about 30 cents on the dollar, according to the city's bankruptcy attorney.
Vallejo's city manager would disagree. "We have been hit hard," he says. But when compared to the debt debate in Washington, DC right now, he says Vallejo is ahead of the game. "We're stable. We're sustainable. They're not. They can't help us."

US Downgrade Good for Dollar? Don't Rule It Out
http://www.cnbc.com/id/43922241
With the prospect of a downgrade of U.S. debt in the cards, analysts at Danske Bank in Copenhagen are telling investors to be careful about the assumptions they make in the event of something that would have been unthinkable just a few months ago.
“The dollar’s status as world reserve currency complicates matters, however, and introduces channels that could even prove dollar positive,” he said.
If risk appetite declines and investors fly toward safer assets, the dollar is likely to be seen as a good place to hide from the risk-off trade.
"This tends to increase demand for dollar assets during periods of falling risk appetite.” “The net dollar effect of a credit downgrade will thus depend on the increase in the U.S. risk premium (dollar negative) compared with the dollar positive flows resulting from a drop in market risk appetite, ” the analyst said.

Como dice PAC
" Siempre sobra tiempo para comprar una accion. - Pero es un instante para realizar una venta."
If US Defaults, Stocks Fall 30%, GDP 5%: Credit Suisse
http://www.cnbc.com/id/43907446
“We think there is a 50 percent chance of a ratings downgrade on U.S. sovereign debt.
“We doubt it will have much effect," he continued. "Japan has a 1.1 percent yield and an AA- rating, many U.S. Treasury funds do not have credit-rating limitations and national bank regulators would probably keep risk weightings for U.S. sovereign debt at zero.”
If no budget deal is struck, but the U.S. does not default, Garthwaite predicts a bad time for stocks and the economy.
In this case, equity markets would drop by 10-15 percent, prompting Congress to find a solution, and bond yields would fall to 2.75 percent.” If that proved to be the case, investors would in Garthwaite’s opinion need to get into defensive stocks and out of the dollar.
