Para mantener vigente el alza hasta los 18 ADR es imprescindible que retome el nivel por encima de los 16.40. Caso contrario, regresamos al TR de los ultimos 3 meses.

Let´s see!

Foreign Bank Stocks Don't All Look Alike

By DONALD H. GOLD, INVESTOR'S BUSINESS DAILY Posted 01/21/2011 07:20 PM ET
Featured Stocks

If you're seeking growth, you'll eventually find a list of Latin American bank stocks.

And the top of that list is dominated by names from Argentina.

Now why would you even want to look at foreign banks? The group ranks a pathetic 151st out of the 197 industries tracked by IBD, as of Friday's edition.

Maybe that shouldn't scare you off. Sort the 25-member group by EPS Rating, and look at what you get. The top three names all hail from Argentina — BBVA Banco Frances (BFR), Grupo Financiero Galicia (GGAL) and Banco Macro (BMA).

No. 4 in that group is Peruvian issue Credicorp (BAP), followed by Chilean bank Corpbanca (BCA).

Of the bottom five names in this group, you'll find two from Ireland, one from Greece, a Korean bank and a small-cap Panamanian bank with a very troubled profit record.

What would we see if foreign banks were further specified into region- or country-specific groups? One would expect to find Latin America or Argentina on top, with Europe or Ireland and Greece near the bottom of the 197 industry groups.

You shouldn't be surprised. A bank can reflect the underlying strengths and weaknesses of the community or country it serves.

The European Union is suffering a crisis that threatens its very existence. At the core of this mess are Greece and Ireland.

Latin America, by contrast, is booming. Argentina's gross domestic product grew 7.8% last year, albeit compared with a dreadful 2009, according to the CIA World Factbook. That's the sort of growth that shows up in economy-sensitive industries, such as banking.

Grupo Financiero Galicia logged high-volume gains on Tuesday and Thursday. If that's a breakout from a cup-with-handle, the base is flawed. The pattern is too short and the handle is too low.

If the stock takes off from here, it's probably best to treat it as a rebound from its 10-week moving average. But it may still be forming a base.

Through its Banco de Galicia y Buenos Aires unit, Grupo Financiero Galicia offers banking and financial services to corporate clients as well as individuals.

The company issued some choppy earnings results from Q4 of 2008 through Q1 of 2010. But the past two quarters showed profit gains of 50% and 127%.

Analysts expect to see 145% bottom-line growth in Q4, according to a Thomson Reuters survey.

The bank posted rising full-year EPS in 2008 and 2009, a period that included some volatile conditions. It also probably earned 68 cents a share in 2010 and should earn $1.20 this year. Those results would make for four straight years of improved full-year EPS.

Hola a todos, soy un posteador novato viendo que hacer, no se si entrar o no. con noticias asi que se podria esperar?

Agradezco por anticipado las respuestas...

Saludos

Mike
