13:10 EDT - Saying time is "running out" on a turnaround, Cantor Fitzgerald says ahead of Supervalu's F2Q report Thursday (it also cuts EPS estimates amid " continued sales weakness") that the only way shareholders will see notable value out of the grocer is selling--either some assets or the whole company. While the latter might be new management's preference, if some recent M&A chatter is to be believed, Cantor says any divestitures "should significantly reverse some of the continued misperceptions regarding the ability of Supervalu to remain solvent." And there's been plenty of that--SVU shares have tumbled 77% this year, including 22% this month alone, to $1.88 . The stock was above $40 five years ago.
