NYSE Invokes Rule 48 to Suspend Price Indications Before Open

May 10 (Bloomberg) -- The New York Stock Exchange and NYSE Amex cash platforms invoked a rule today designed to smooth the opening of stocks when futures and overseas markets suggest high levels of price volatility. Rule 48 suspends the requirement for market makers to send pre-opening indications, or bid and ask prices developing in auctions used to determine a stock’s opening price. The regulation is used “only in those situations where the potential for extremely high market-wide volatility would likely impair floor-wide operations at the exchange,” NYSE Euronext said in an e-mail today.

June futures contracts on the Standard & Poor’s 500 Index rose by their daily limit before the official opening of U.S. stocks today, reaching as high as 1,162.

Tenicamente el CAC (Francia) esta a solo 2% de entrar en Bear market mode. Ya lleva 18% de baja desde el High de 4086. Solo un detalle..
Si uno mira lo sobre vendido que esta eso no se puede creer. Ni hablar Spain.
