Pacific Ethanol expects to emerge from bankruptcy by the end of the second quarter 2010.
According to PE CEO Neil Koehler, their plan submitted to the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Delaware, will include $35 million dollars in a new line of credit.
Ownership is also changing hands. The ethanol plants will be transferred to a newly-formed holding company.
Kohler says the restructuring should help resume operations at the plants in Madera and Stockton. No timeline was given.

Falklands driller's shares lose half their value
10:15a ET March 29, 2010 (MarketWatch)
LONDON (MarketWatch) -- Shares of Britain's Desire Petroleum surrendered about half their value Monday, plunging after the company said that an underwater well in the Falklands Islands may have oil but that the reservoir quality is poor.
Desire Petroleum said that it drilled the Liz 14/19-1 well to a depth of 3,570 meters, and while "oil may be present in thin intervals" the reservoir quality is poor. Indications for gas also have been encountered.
Desire said until the logging is complete and the results analyzed it won't be possible to determine the significance and whether the well will need to be drilled deeper, suspended or plugged and abandoned.
Investors didn't wait for the full results, due later this week, with Desire shares moving down 48.8% in afternoon London trading, and shares of partner Rockhopper Exploration down 18%.
The startup of drilling off the Falklands last month led to renewed diplomatic tensions between the U.K. and Argentina, which also claims sovereignty over the islands that it knows as the Islas Malvinas. The two countries went to war in 1982 over the Falklands.
