Madalena Energy finds its man for chief financial officer position
The new CFO is an accountancy graduate from Salvador University
Ezequiel Martinez Ariet has been appointed as chief financial officer Madalena Energy Inc (CVE:MVN).
Bean counting duties at the Argentina-focused unconventional oil and gas assets developer had previously been done on an interim basis by Madalena director Alejandro Augusto Penafiel, following the transfer of executive management functions from Canada to Argentina.
Martinez joins Madalena from AESA, where he was administrative and financial manager. He brings 15 years of financial, strategic and operational to experience to Madalena, and will report directly to Madalena’s chief executive officer, Jose David Penafiel, with whom he had worked in the past.
“His precise insight into the E&P [exploration and production] market in Argentina makes him the perfect candidate for the position of CFO of Madalena," Penafiel said.
