The ECB (tomorrow, 7:30 a.m. ET) is widely expected to trim its key interest rate by 25 basis points, to 0.75% from 1%, more a token gesture that the central bank “gets it” rather than anything else. More important could be any news to come out of ECB President Mario Draghi’s press conference, which starts at 8:30 a.m. New York time. Some interested parties are talking up another LTRO program, but it’s a long-shot.
