Telecom Argentina 1st-qtr net rose to 411 mln pesos

BUENOS AIRES, May 6 (Reuters) - Telecom Argentina SA (TEC2.BA) (TEO.N), one of Argentina's top telephone companies, reported on Thursday a first-quarter net profit of 411 million pesos ($105.8 million), up from the 329 million pesos reported a year ago.

The net profit beat market expectations. A Reuters poll of five analysts had forecast net profit at a median of 370 million pesos, with estimates ranging from 350 million to 390 million.
