Credit Suisse piles on with another Petrobras downgrade • 11:59 AM

Petrobras (PBR +0.8%) is downgraded to Underperform from Neutral with a $5 price target, lowered from $7.30, at Credit Suisse.
On top of the corruption probe, PBR also must deal with falling crude prices, lower production growth and high leverage, Credit Suisse says.
"The only significant way to deleveraging is a further drastic reduction in capex or strong divestments... a tough equation for the new management team to solve," the firm writes.
PBR has posted a deficit from operations after capital expenses in every quarter since 2010 and is set to miss its output goal for an 11th straight year.

Petrobras (PBR +2.6%) will seek board approval this month to renew an auditing contract with PricewaterhouseCoopers, as Brazil's state-run oil company attempts to emerge from the country’s biggest graft scandal, Bloomberg reports.
PBR reportedly plans to sign another two-year arrangement with PwC, the firm that has refused to sign off on PBR’s financial results pending an accounting of the full extent of alleged corruption.
The government controlled board reportedly will meet Feb. 27 to discuss the auditor renewal proposal, which was devised before Aldemir Bendine took over as CEO last Friday.
